Sparkly shoe project!

Rest assured, the word "BLING" will not be used in this post. The B-word makes me want to punch a sucka in the face.

I purchased these "jelly" slingbacks from Avon, of all places. If you've been following my blog for a bit, you'll know how I love Melissa plastic shoes. These are very similar... and honestly, they are more comfortable than the Melissa slingbacks that I own. Even better? I paid $9 for these.

Kinda bland...  Even worse, Most of the rhinestones (90%!) were knocked loose and were hanging out at the bottom of the dust bag that came with the shoes. No biggie, as they were acrylic rhinestones (which either lack luster, or they will eventually will turn dull).

I'm a self-admitted rhinestone snob. Only the finest will do, and that's why I reached for my collection of Swarovski rhinestones.

Sooooooooo, with a bit of heavy duty adhesive and my magic rhinestone wand, this is what I ended up with:

Swarovski colours used:
- Crystal Luminous Green (they have a lavender and light green shift to them)
- Light Amethyst
- Crystal

I chose these colours because although they are "clear", the shoes have a purplish cast to them when the light hits them in a certain manner...

I will even go as far to mention my nail polish, as it gets me a TON of compliments when I wear it. It's "Flirt" by Revlon.

I can't wait to wear my new shoes! I wish photos could capture how brilliantly sparkly they are!

Yep, I finally got these sorted!

Aurora, I ordered them from their website... They have some similar ones in solid colours right now that could be done up the same!
